Sumaya was born in San Diego, California and is living in Minneapolis. Her family migrated from East Africa, Somali for a better future. Sumaya always had a a passion for creating beauty and fashion content online and real estate. Growing up she didn't see any representation for black muslim woman online, It motivated her to become a successful influencer with over 10 Years experience as a content creator.

She’s also an award-winning make-up artist, Sumaya owned a beauty studio in Minneapolis working with local celebrities,Photoshoots and weddings. She worked with brands like Juvia's Place, Revlon, M.A.C as a campaign model. Sumaya is known as a content creator, and real estate agent known for representing the Somali community.
